Participant Feedback

Recent Experiences

A mix of short and detailed responses from participants across our three programmes.

SN

Siriporn N.

Bangkok · Family Communication Workshop

"I came in expecting something more like a seminar. It was much more participatory than that — in a good way. The facilitator created a setting where it was natural to engage. I left with three specific things I intended to do differently. That felt like enough."

Pisit T.

Bangkok · Co-Coordination Skills Programme

"The multi-week format worked well for us. It gave time to actually try things between sessions rather than absorbing everything at once. The scheduling templates are genuinely useful — we have been using them for about six weeks now. The only thing I would change is slightly longer breaks between sessions."

Alicia L.

Expat, Bangkok · Mediation-Support Information Session

"I was not sure what to expect — the term 'mediation' felt quite formal to me. What I found was a very calm explanation of how those conversations tend to work, without anyone telling me what to do about my own situation. The worksheet helped me think through what I actually wanted to ask. Good session."

Wanchai S.

Bangkok · Family Communication Workshop

"A useful half-day. Honest about what it can and cannot do — which I appreciated. Some of the listening exercises felt a little basic for me personally but I could see how they would be useful for others in the room. The facilitator handled the group dynamics well."

Natasha K.

Bangkok · Co-Coordination Skills Programme

"My situation involves coordinating with someone who finds planning difficult. I was not looking for advice — I just wanted to get better at handling the communication around it myself. This programme helped with exactly that. Very practical, very calm, and the materials are something I keep coming back to."

Marcus C.

Expat, Bangkok · Mediation-Support Information Session

"Clear, structured, and completely non-pressuring. I came with a lot of questions about what a mediation process involves and left with a much clearer picture. I did not feel like I was being steered toward anything. The two-hour format was the right length — focused without feeling rushed."

A Closer Look at Three Experiences

Summarised with the participants' permission. Names have been abbreviated for privacy.

Family Communication Workshop

P. and her sister · Bangkok · April 2025

The Starting Point

Two adult sisters dealing with a family matter found their conversations frequently becoming heated before they could reach the practical questions. Both agreed to attend together, though neither was certain what to expect.

What They Explored

The workshop offered exercises in recognising when conversations shift from exchange to defence, and in expressing needs without implicit blame. Both found the paired exercises useful for understanding how the other was hearing them.

Afterwards

Follow-up feedback six weeks later noted that their practical conversations had become more straightforward. They attributed the shift to a specific technique from the session — asking clarifying questions before responding.

"We still do not always agree. But we can at least finish a conversation now." — P.

Co-Coordination Skills Programme

T. · Bangkok · March–April 2025

The Starting Point

T. was managing shared childcare arrangements with limited structured communication in place. Information about plans frequently arrived late or changed without notice, making personal scheduling very difficult.

What She Worked On

The programme introduced shared scheduling frameworks, guidance on creating handover communication that leaves less room for ambiguity, and communication approaches for handling changes calmly rather than reactively.

Afterwards

T. introduced one of the shared templates from the programme and noted that the number of last-minute changes that required discussion dropped noticeably over the following month.

"Having a clear structure to point to removed a lot of the back-and-forth." — T.

Mediation-Support Information Session

J. · Bangkok · May 2025

The Starting Point

J. was considering whether voluntary mediation might be an option for a family property matter. She had no clear picture of what mediation actually involved and was unsure whether it was worth pursuing professionally.

What She Explored

The session explained how voluntary mediation conversations are generally structured — the role of a neutral facilitator, how participants prepare, and how those conversations typically progress. No advice was given on her specific situation.

Afterwards

J. felt better placed to make an informed decision and used the preparation worksheet to organise her thoughts before consulting a professional. She described the session as giving her a framework to think with, rather than answers.

"I came in confused. I left with a clearer set of questions to ask." — J.
